Masters in Economics

The Department of Economics at Ratna Rajyalaxmi Campus is one of the oldest with higher number of students since (year). At present, the Bachelor’s Degree classes of Economics are in the morning and day shifts and the Master’s Degree classes of Economics are in the morning shift. Its primary focus is teaching Economics syllabus effectively. However, in the recent years, it has initiated the publication of journals and and research works. There are more than 360 students in MA and more than 600 students in BA level in Economics. The Bachelor and Master programs in morning has been the prime choice of employed people.

Initially, the department had initiated the MA Economics courses under annual system, offering a two year course. As per decision of TU, RR campus has started semester program in MA offering various core and optional courses. MA in Economics under this system consists four semesters. The students have to go through compulsory papers, as core subjects in the first and second semesters. The first two semesters consist of compulsory papers whereas students will have opportunity to choose among specialized courses during third and fourth semesters.

The small team of faculty members is involved for handling the teaching and research. The faculty members are dedicated for their academic and professional contribution in the national and international levels. The department is in the process of supporting faculty members for improving the quality of teaching activities.
